Papers of the Will and Huffman families [manuscript], 1790-1938 (bulk 1846-1901).

The papers contain letters, 1856-1867, to Annie Elizabeth Huffman from friends and relatives, particularly her brother, David B. Huffman chiefly regarding the Civil War and Reconstruction. The Wilderness and Early's Washington raid are described. There are also Shenandoah County deeds, 1790, 1795, 1854; business papers of the two families including accounts, drafts, notes, receipts, the will, n.d., of George Will, an estate inventory for Frederick Huffman, insurance assessments, a canvasser's agreement for Singer Sewing Machine Company, children's school reports, and several daybooks and ledgers, one from the firm of Huffman and Calvert.
